Jigme Namgyel Engineering College conducted a 5-day training on Basic Computing and Office Productivity Tools for school students in and around Dewathang community from 16th – 20th January, 2023. A total of 32 students from various schools benefited from the training.
Dr. Tshewang Lhendup, President of the College awarded certificates of participation to all the participants. During the certificate award ceremony, President shared on the importance of acquiring and enhancing Information Technology (IT) and digital skills in this competitive world.
During the five days of training the participants were taught the basics of Microsoft Windows operating system and computer hardware. In addition, the students were also trained on using MS Office and emails.

The training is part of community services aiming to reach out to children/students within the Dewathang community and was jointly organized by the Department of Information and Technology 9DIT) and IT Service Unit (ITSU) of the college.
