Student representatives of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College for Academic year 2016-2017 were formally sworn in during the the morning assembly on 1st August. A total of 14 students were elected to represent the student body through secret ballot last semester.
During the oath taking ceremony, Dr. Andu Dukpa, Director of the college, awarded Tashi Khadar to all the elected representatives and urged them to work with full dedication. Further 4 elected House Masters were also awarded Tashi Khadar during the the ceremony.
During the occasion the academic toppers of Spring semester 2016 were also recognized and were awarded prizes as a token of appreciation for their effort.
