As part of the ongoing joint project “Strengthening Problem Based Learning in South Asia Universities” co-funded by the European Union, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC), Royal University of Bhutan has organized two days hybrid workshop on “PBL Methodology & PBL SA Dissemination” from 8th to 9th August 2022 at Namseling Boutique Hotel in Thimphu.
The inaugural of the workshop was graced by Dr. Tshewang Lhendup, President of JNEC and also a Project Advisory Committee member for the PBL SA project with emphasis on highlighting JNEC and also the impacts the college has been realizing in recent times with the implementation of PBL activities. The participants for the workshop are from various colleges under RUB, Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Science of Bhutan (KGUMSB), Higher Secondary Schools from Thimphu Thromde, and JNEC (faculties, students, and graduates).
Mr. Hemlal Bhattarai, Project Manager, PBL SA from JNEC, Dr. Shakuntala Acharya from IIT Guwahati, Dr. Kishor Sahebrao and Dr. Tharun Dolla from IIT Bombay, Mr. Apoorv Naresh Bhatt and Mr. Sangay Singh from IISc Bangalore has resourced the workshop with face-to-face mode whereas the partners from Nepal and Europe will be resourced through online mode.
