Following the recent directive from the Royal Government of Bhutan, JNEC is pleased to notify all students that the college will open for Autumn Semester 2020. For the safety and well-being of all students, staff and the greater community amidst the current pandemic, the college will be calling First Year students, including In-service and Repeat students in Three Phases as follows:
PHASE I (September 19 – 20, 2020):
Students enrolled in the following programme will have to report on September 19 – 20, 2020:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Surveying
- Diploma in Computer System and Network
- In-service students
- Students repeating the AS-2020
Note: For First Year students, classes will commence from September 21, 2020, while for In-service and repeat students, classes will commence from September 22, 2020.
PHASE II (September 26 – 27, 2020):
Students enrolled in the following programme will have to report on September 26 – 27, 2020:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Note: Classes will commence from September 28, 2020.
PHASE III (October 3 – 4, 2020):
Students enrolled in the following programme will have to report on October 3 – 4, 2020:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Power Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying and Geoinformatics, and
- Diploma in Materials & Procurement Management.
Note: Classes will commence from October 5, 2020
All students are asked to make necessary travel arrangements, follow SOPs and COVID-19 protocols.
