JNEC Y-PEER club was awarded the trophy for the Best Y-PEER Network for the year 2016 during the National Y-PEER Meet held at Bajothang Higher Secondary School in Wangduphodrang, Bhutan from Dec 27 – 28, 2016.
During the two days meet, discussions were held on issues ranging from Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how youths can actively contribute to these issues.
The event was organized by the Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education in collaboration with Y-PEER Asia- Pacific with the support of Robert Carr Fund and Youth Lead.
Around 80 youths from various schools and colleges in the country took part in the event. There where presentations from the health sector on STDs and teenage pregnancy as well.
A total of six JNEC Y-PEER members participated in the event.
