The annual Faculty Research Seminar at Jigme Namgyel Engineering College was conducted on 2nd December 2020. The event was organized by the office of Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages as a planned activity. The event was intended to advance in the field of research and innovation, where academics are provided such platform to share their research outcomes and educate students on various aspects of the research.
The program saw presentations from academics from different discipline followed by question answer session from the audience. The program especially expects student to gain knowledge and skills of research which will aid them while undertaking research related projects. The seminar was chaired by Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages, Mr. Hemlal Bhattarai.
There were four presenters and about 300 participants (staff & students) who attended the seminar.
Following research findings were presented by the four academics:
- “Estimating Missing Data Using Machine Learning Models” by Mr. Vasker Sharma from Department of Civil Engineering and Surveying
- “Sensor-less Field-Oriented Control of Three Phase Induction Motor Using Fuzzy PI Controller” by Mr. Karchung from Department of Electrical Engineering.
- “Overleaf Online Latex for Manuscript Preparation” by Mr. Sangay Chedup from Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
- “Modelling the Effect of Treatment on the Transmission Dynamics of the Corona-Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19): The Case in India” by Mr. Sonam Gyeltshen from Department of Humanities and Management
