Jigme Namgyel Engineering College in collaboration with Department of Youth and Sport, Ministry of Education hosted the first ever National Rover Moot from 12th – 16th February 2020 at JNEC campus. Venerable Lam Neten of Samdrup Jongkhar Dratshang graced the closing ceremony of the 5 day long Rover Moot.
A total of 130 students from host college (JNEC), College of Science & Technology, Sherubtse College, Gyelpozhing College of Information Technology, Gedu College of Business Studies, College of Language & Culture Studies, College of Natural Resources and Norbuling Rigter College participated in the Moot.
Moot is an event for senior and other young adult Rover members to come together with the objective to learn new skills and make lasting friendship.
During the Moot, Mr. Kala Tshering, Rover leader of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) was awarded with “Messanger of Peace Scarf” in recognition of his valuable contribution in promotion of Rover Scouting at JNEC. A big Tashi Delek to Mr. Kala Tshering.
