Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) conducted a 5-day Python programming training for school children between class IX and XII which concluded today. The training was conducted from July 7-11, 2023 and was attended by 15 students from various schools in the region.
The training was provided by JNEC with an aim to encourage students to take up programming and software development skills. It was also seen as a way to meaningfully engage students during their summer vacation time.
During the training, the students learned the basics of Python programming, including variables, data types, loops, and conditional statements. The students were also taught the basic concepts of game and software development using Python.
The training was a success, and JNEC plans to offer more Python programming training in the future. The college believes that Python is a valuable skill for students to learn, and that it can help them to pursue careers in computer science and other fields.
