With the aim to promote sustainable and resilient timber structures in the country, JNEC organised one-day consultation meeting with the stakeholders in Thimphu on 3rd July, 2023.
The meeting which was funded by Austrian Partnership Programme in Higher Education and Research for Development (APPEAR) is part of an ongoing academic collaboration between JNEC and Universität Innsbruck, Austria. The academic partnership will formulate a certificate programme in Timber Engineering for Energy Efficient Buildings (TEEEB) buildings in Bhutan. A semester long course targeted towards civil engineers and architects will be launched from July 2024 in collaboration with Universität Innsbruck.
