Last year in the month of September, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College received intellectual professors from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WUST). Similarly on 10th September till 14th September, 2018 the College had three Professor from the same University to further strengthen the relationship and promote academic programmes. The programme is under the Erasmus+ for individual faculty mobility program; the agreement made between WUST and JNEC since 2016.
This time we had the following personnel in the College:
• Prof. Oscar Herrera Granados, Faculty of Civil Engineering
• Prof. Malgorzata Jolanta Rusinka, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
• Prof. Krzysztof Jozef Naplocha, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
During their stay, they actively engaged in discussing way forward to develop common research projects, potential cooperation and to enhance the new programme BE in Mechanical Engineering and BE in Surveying and Geoinformatics.
In addition, with their expertise the College had a guest lecture for Faculty and students on the topic such as; Modern methods of management in European production companies aimed to improve quality and efficiency of production, casting production, metal matrix composites, metal foams and heat storage systems, basic theory on Geographical Information Systems, Hydraulic modelling and Computer exercise on the software Hec-Ras 5.0.3 and QGIS (both License GNU).
The College which strives to create ‘technology towards better tomorrow’ and its affiliation with the international universities/organization is dominantly put forwarded for a quality education in the field of applied engineering, information technology and management.
