Jigme Namgyel Engineering College celebrated 44th Graduation Day on 29th June 2018. The occasion was graced by Dasho Tharchin Lhendup, Dzongdag of Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag along with other dignitaries from Samdrup Jongkhar and Dewathang community.
A total of 244 students from seven different programmes received their diploma. The total includes:
– 64 graduates with Diploma in Civil Engineering,
– 56 with Diploma in Electrical Engineering,
– 30 with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering,
– 24 with Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering,
– 32 with Diploma in Computer Hardware & Networking,
– 19 with Diploma in Surveying, and
– 19 with Diploma in Materials & Procurement Management.
Coinciding with the 44th Graduation Day Celebration, the first issue of JNEC’s Research Publication titled “Thruel Rig Sar Toed” was released by the Hon’ble Chief Guest and President of the College. The Research Publication contains collective research works of faculty and students to assure academic excellence through research and innovation.
The College has so far produced a total of 3976 graduates since its establishment in 1974 to support the socio-economic development of the country.
